Sana’a, 8 Jumadal Awwal 1437/February 16, 2016 (MINA) -The Saudi-led coalition airstrikes targeted the city’s main gate, the archeological castle, and buildings and historical monuments located in al-Qashla zone, at the entrance of the city, a local official said.

Albawaba on Monday reported, that the air raids led to the destruction of the gate, many homes and archaeological buildings dating back to the 2nd century AD.

Many families are still under the debris, the official said, stressing the rescue teams found difficulties to enter the city due to the massive destruction caused by the airstrikes in the city.
