Al-Quds, 26 Shawal 1436/11 August 2015 (MINA) – Israeli occupation forces assaulted Monday morning two of the Aqsa Mosque’s guards and arrested a third. The guards organized a gathering at, al-Asbat gate, in protest against Israeli offensive practices.

The Israeli forces prevented Palestinian children from entering the Mosque from al-Asbat gate in the morning and attacked them.

One of the guards, called Muayad Hashima, intervened to protect the children, but the forces assaulted him by severe beating and attacked him with pepper spray.

The IOF soldiers also attacked the chief guard Ashraf Abu Rmaileh and Yahya Shehadeh and fired tear gas directly at them leading to their injury. They were transferred to hospital for treatment, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The guards organized a gathering in protest against attacking the guards as well as children and called for the release of Muayad Hashima who was arrested after being attacked by Israeli forces. (T/P011)
