In Six Months, Israel Arrest 2759 Palestinians

Ramallah, MINA – An advocacy group for Palestinian prisoners reported that in the past six months, Israeli forces have detained more than 2,759 Palestinians, including 446 underage children and 76 women.

Meanwhile, those who were detained administratively, without fees or trials there were around 500 people.

“Seven Palestinians who were detained administratively continued with a hunger strike. They demanded the end of their illegal detention, “said Palestinian prisoner advocacy group, as quoted by Wafa,Tuesday, July 16.

Jaafar Izzeddin, a resident of Jenin, had taken the longest hunger strike, which was 30 days and accompanied four previous hunger strikers.

Israeli prison officials also carry out bad actions, such as making it difficult for family prisoners to visit, blocking meetings with their lawyers, transferring them to other prisons, and isolating them in cells that cannot be inhabited. (T/Sj/P2)
