Jambi’s Angsoduo Carnival Displays Ethnic Diversity
Jambi, MINA – Cultural parade and street performaances that were held by passing a route about one kilometer on Sunday, became the culmination of Angsodua festival and carnival in Jambi, featuring a diversity of ethnic groups in Indonesia.
The ethnic diversity is presented by a number of participants who are members of the national integration forum by wearing traditional clothing, such as Minang, Batak, Javanese, Malay and a number of other ethnicities.
Wearing traditional attire, participants also showcase their cultural excellence and distinctive performances.
Through the appearance of ethnic diversity, the participants want to show the diversity of a united nation for the unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
In addition to students who enliven the carnival, a number of cultural arts community of Tulonggo Seto community also shows the cultural attractions of Kuda lumping or flat horse dance.
Even ethnic Chinese also show their superiority with the attraction of lion dance accompanied by the typical culture.
The cultural carnival show, which ended at the Griya Mayang, Jambi Mayor’s Home Office, is able to attract residents in the city to fill the holiday weekend by watching the cultural carnival initiated by the local city government.
“Pretty good carnival like this, because it can entertain people to fill the holiday weekend,” said Arif (30) who deliberately came with his family.
