4th Moscow Festival Offers Various Indonesian Products

Jakarta, MINA – Embassy of Republic of Indonesia in Moscow will again hold 4th Festival Indonesia, which is one of the objectives of introducing and branding Indonesian products in Russia.

Indonesia Festival with the theme “Visit Wonderful Indonesia: Enjoy Our Tropical Paradise” this year will take place at Krasnaya Pres Park on August 2-4 2019. The park covers an area of ​​16.5 hectares and is close to World Trade Center (WTC) in Moscow, Russia.

Reflecting on the results of Festival Indonesia last year, several products from the country have begun to be known and utilized by Russian people, such as coffee, culinary, health, handicraft and tourism.

“Last year for example, PT. Mayora with Torabika products has exported 1,000 containers, I have witnessed that in Siberia areas there are already and popular, “said M. Wahid Supriadi, Indonesian Ambassador to Federal Russia and Republic of Belarus in Jakarta on Thursday, July 4.

In addition, palm oil processed products from companies in Surabaya sent 1,000 containers to Russia and it is quite encouraging, Indonesia managed to export main defense system tool such as artificial speedboats from Banyuwangi last year.

Therefore, Ambassador Wahid encouraged entrepreneurs to devitalize their products, especially food products which he said were very good in entering the Russian market with population of approximately 147 people.

In this year’s Indonesian Festival, entrepreneurs can attend Indonesia-Russia Business Forum and Business Matching on August 1, 2019, which will bring together officials and business people from both countries.

According to Ambassador Wahid, there are currently many participants from Indonesia who will participate in the Festival Indonesia this time, including businessmen, MSMEs, local governments such as governors, regents and mayors and arts teams. (L/Sj/P2)
