400.000 Worshipers Attend 27th Night of Ramadan at Aqsa

Occupied Jerusalem, MINA – Over 400,000 Muslim worshipers prayed overnight Friday at al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem to mark Laylat al-Qadr, usually observed on the 27th day of Ramadan.

Local sources said that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians flocked to al-Aqsa Mosque in the early morning hours, performed Friday prayer there, and stayed at the holy mosque for the prayers of the 27th night of Ramadan, Palinfo reported.

Among the worshippers at the mosque were visitors from a variety of countries, including Malaysia and Turkey.

Meanwhile, the Israeli police tightened restrictions on the worshipers entering Jerusalem and installed dozens of checkpoints around the Old City.(T/R04/P2)
