Gaza, 26 Syawwal 1437/31 July 2016  (MINA)  – In response to recent attempts by Saudi figures to normalize relations between their country and Israel, Saudi activists launched a Twitter hashtag campaign titled “Saudis against normalization.”

The hashtag is trending throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has received strong responses from dignitaries, media and religious figures, and Twitter activists, who expressed their rejection of any step to establish ties with the “Zionist enemy.” The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) was quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

According to the group that launched the campaign, their hashtag page is aimed at spreading the voice of Saudis who oppose any normalization of relations with the Israeli occupation and all attempts to justify it or pave the way for it.

The page, in particular, aims to rally a position against the Saudi delegation which recently visited Israel.
