Palestinian President to Take Part, in the African Summit

African, world leaders converge in Ethiopia for 28th AU Summit.

 

Addis Ababa, Jumadil Awwal 1438/30 January 2017 (MINA) – Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas arrived here today, to take part in the African summit, set to begin on Monday.

According to SPA, Abbas is expected to address the summit on the situation, in Palestine.

He will meet a number of other African leaders, hold several talks to promote collective as well as individual cooperation and consultations on African contribution to support the Palestinian people and taking its side, in the world arenas.

The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres is going to attend the 28th Ordinary Assembly of the African Union (AU) heads of state and government which will be held here in Addis Ababa on January 30-31.

According the spokes person of Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tewolde Mulugeta, more than 20 leaders of international institutions including UN Chief will attend the meeting. (T/RS05/RS01)
