Palestinian Plan to Face Israelization of Education in Jerusalem

Occupied Jerusalem, (MINA) – The education sector in Occupied Jerusalem is exposed to a frenzied Judaization and Israelization campaign after the Israeli government has earmarked about 15 billion shekels to build schools and impose its curriculum on the Palestinians.

Director general of the education bureau in Jerusalem Samir Jebreel said that there was an official Palestinian plan to protect the Palestinian educational process in Jerusalem, PIC reported.

Jebreel explained that the plan includes efforts to curtail Israel’ funding for the private education sector through finding an alternative financial support and also to provide complete scholarships for Palestinian students from the Old City of Jerusalem and other neighborhoods.
