Jakarta, 27 Jumadil Awwal 1437/07 March 2016 (MINA) – Palestine’s Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki described His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a man of noble actions, underscoring his continued support of the “Palestinian cause.”

In a statement to KUNA during a preparatory ministerial meeting for the fifth extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, Al-Maliki said: “His Highness the Amir’s support of Palestine remains persistent.”

Kuwait has never ceased, not even for a day, to support Palestine,” Al-Maliki said.

“Palestine needs to be supported by joint Arab and Islamic efforts to protect the holy Al-Aqsa mosque from Israeli aggressions,” he noted.

This meeting has one aim, which is to “spur all Muslims into action to protect the holy Al-Aqsa mosque,” he said.

Kuwait is participating in the meeting with a delegation led by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Abduallah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.

The delegation also includes Kuwait’s Consul General in Jeddah Saleh Al-Saqabi, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations’ Affairs Nasser Al-Hein and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulwahab Al-Saqer. (T/R07/R01)
