Ramallah, 01 Shafar 1438/01 November 2016 (MINA) – One Palestinian was killed by Israeli forces near a military fence north of the West Bank, Palestinian health ministry said Monday.

It said, in a statement, that it formally received information from Israeli occupation forces on the martyrdom of an unknown Palestinian at the fence.

Palestinian medic Talal Abo Eidah, who arrived at the scene, and later told KUNA that the Israeli army did not allow him to reach for the casualty, and he was left bleeding on the ground.

Local sources identified the young Palestinian was Mohammad Turkaman from Jenin aream and used to work in Palestinian security apparatus.

Israeli military forces kill Turkaman after he injured three Israeli soldiers in shooting at checkpoint

A spokesman for the Islamist movement Hamas, which governs the Gaza Strip, hailed the shooting in a statement, calling it heroic and “a strong message in the face of Israeli crimes”.

Sami Abu Zuhri also called for “more involvement from Palestinian security officers in the Palestinian intifada” or uprising. (T/R07/R01)
