Hebron, 21 Rajab 1436/ 10 May 2015 (MINA) – Two Palestinian men were detained by Israeli forces in a dawn raid in the southern West Bank city of Hebron on Sunday.

Locals identified the detainees as Ahmad Rashid al-Juneidi and Nasser al-Din Fayyad Shabana, both in their early 20s.

An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed the arrests, saying the men were “Hamas activists,” Maan News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Asked whether they had been arrested for any specific activity, she said that she was not aware of any, but that they were being investigated.

Israeli forces also set up flying checkpoints Sunday morning on the main northern and southern exits from Hebron where they inspected Palestinian vehicles.
