Al-Khalil, 2 Jumadil Akhir 1438/1 March 2017 (MINA) – The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) prevented the Adhan (call for prayer) for 44 times in the Ibrahimi Mosque during February.

The Palestinian Endowment Ministry affirmed that the Adhan was prevented for 44 times over the past month under the pretext of annoying Israeli settlers, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

Israeli occupation forces, meanwhile, continue to erect military checkpoints throughout the city with the aim of harassing Palestinian worshipers trying to reach the Mosque where more than 95 Israeli attacks were carried out during February against Palestinian worshipers.

The Israeli measures came in total provocation to Muslims’ religious feelings and in flagrant violation of the international norms and laws that preserve freedom of worship for all religions.(T/R04/RS05)
