Indonesian President Calls for Closer Global Cooperation Amid Eonomic Uncertainties

Jakarta, MINA — Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Friday called for closer cooperation between fiscal and monetary policy makers in the face of market uncertainties, Xinhua reported.

Widodo made the remarks during the plenary session of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank annual meeting held in the resort island of Bali.

Widodo said the currently global economy has yet to entirely recover from the impacts of the last economic crisis.

Such a situation was worsened by the developing political and economic events that lead to widening uncertainties in the market.

President Widodo said developed and developing nations have enjoyed the free trade regime in the past decade, adding that more opened economy and globalization provided huge benefits for all nations, with developing countries starting to make contribution to spur global economic growth.
