Indonesian Madrasah Technonatura Takes Part in 2019 Robot World Championship
Sydney, MINA – The Indonesian robotic team Madrasah Technonatura Java Knights received an award “Allstar Rookie” in the South Pacific Regional Robotics competition in Sydney on Sunday. For this achievement, Java Knight got a ticket to take part in the 2019 Robot World Championship in USA.
Director of Madrasah Technonatura, Riza Wahono explained in this competition entitled “Destination: Deep Space”. All participants were given a challenge to create robots that could launch rockets into space.
Java Knights designed and built a mechanical, electrical, software control system, and integrated everything into one machine, controlled remotely.
“Java Knights team had the opportunity to learn technical skills, assemble metals, programming Java C ++ or National Instruments LabVIEW, control systems, Cumputer-Aided Design (CAD) and other techniques,” Riza Wahono said in Jakarta, Monday, as quoted from Indonesia Ministry of Religion.
According to Riza, who is also the team’s assistant, although Java Knights is the newcomer team, but they are able to show quality as the same criteria in the competition.
“Alhamdulillah, the Java Knights team won the Rookie Allstars award. Previously, at the Southern Cross in Sydney on March 12, 2019, the Java Knights also won the Rookie Inspiration Award. With the Rookie Allstars award, the Java Nights team got a ticket to take part in the First Robotics Competition (FRC) 2019 in the USA next April, “Riza explained.
He added in developing robot, students learn valuable skills such as, teamwork, collaboration, public speaking, as well as science and engineering skills. Students are taught to respect each other, be friendly to all the other teams as well as to their own team. (T/Sj/P2)
