Seoul,MINA — Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi will visit South Korea this week to formally invite President Moon Jae-in to the Asian Games,Yonhap reported, citing the annoucement of Seoul’s foreign ministry Tuesday.
She will begin a two-day trip Thursday as President Joko Widodo’s special envoy, it said.
She will convey Widodo’s invitation for Moon to attend the opening ceremony of the Asian Games in Jakarta next month.
Marsudi is also scheduled to hold talks with Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha on Thursday on ways to improve relations between the two nations, the ministry added. (T/RS05/RS01)
