Gaza, MINA – The death toll in Gaza from Israel’s war has reached at least 64,718, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Thursday. The announcement came as seven more Palestinians, including a child, died from malnutrition and starvation in the besieged territory, Anadolu Agency reported.
According to the ministry, 72 bodies were brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours, alongside 356 injuries, bringing the total number of wounded since the start of the conflict in October 2023 to 163,859.
“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” the statement added.
The situation continues to worsen for Palestinians attempting to receive humanitarian aid. In the last 24 hours, nine people were killed and over 87 injured by Israeli army fire while seeking aid. Since May 27, 2,465 Palestinians have been killed and 17,948 injured in similar circumstances.

The famine-related death toll now stands at 411, including 142 children, since the beginning of the war. Of these, 133 deaths, including 27 children, have occurred since Gaza was officially declared a famine zone by the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) last month.
The Israeli government has completely sealed Gaza’s border crossings since March 2, cutting off access to essential food and medical supplies for the 2.4 million people living in the enclave.
Following the breakdown of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in January, the Israeli military resumed attacks on Gaza on March 18, killing 12,170 people and injuring 51,818 more since then. []
