Jakarta, 14 Safar 1436/7 December 2014 (MINA) – Indonesia Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) donated US$121.12 thousand for bank of Blood at Indonesia Hospital (RSI) in Gaza through the humanitarian Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C).

The FPI’s chief advisor Rizieq Syihab stated it at the event of FPI’s Tablig Akbar in Jakarta, on Sunday.

“Alhamdulillah, the first stage of the donation is US$40.37 thousands. Insya Allah, next month we will give as many as US$80.75 thousand, “said Rizieq.

“This assistance is 100 percent derived from the Indonesian people from Sabang to Merauke through the FPI,” he added.

Meanwhile, the RSI’s chairman  Farid Thalib said, the inauguration of the hospital will be held on January 2015. “ Insya Allah, The funds have been sufficient to complete the health equipment and the inauguration will soon be done,” he said.

The MER-C Presidium, Jozerizal Jurnalis said in fighting againts Israel, Muslims have to unite. ” Muslims have power to help their brother in Palestine in fighting against Israeli occupation. The existence of RSI in Gaza is a form of participation of Indonesian society in fighting against the invaders, “he said.

Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) is an Islamic mass organization based in Jakarta. They commit sweeping any that are immoral activities.

FPI was declared on August 17, 1998 in Jakarta. FPI was formed by a number of ulema, mubaligh and activists as well as hundreds of Muslims students surrounding Jakarta.(L/P009/R03).
