Al-Quds, 18 Dzulhijjah 1437/20 September 2016 (MINA) – The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has decided to upgrade its security surveillance system in and around the Old City of Jerusalem.
The IOA earmarked 30 million shekels to improve the performance of the security surveillance network and its control center in east Jerusalem, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.
The project will include the installation of new security cameras able to provide more accurate video footage from the streets of east Jerusalem, especially the Old City.
According to the Israeli police, the upgrading of security cameras and the control center would help facilitate the executive work of the Israeli security authorities in the Old City and its environs.

However, the Palestinian natives of Occupied Jerusalem see this step as another measure aimed at tightening Israel’s grip further on their lives.(T/P008/R07)
