Palestinians In Turkey Conference Calls For Lifting Gaza Siege

Istanbul, 3 Dzulhijjah 1437/5 September 2016 (MINA) – Palestinians in Turkey Conference called in its closing statement on Sunday for uniting all Palestinian efforts in face of Israeli occupation and maintaining all Palestinian constants, mainly Jerusalem, prisoners’ issue, the refugees, and the right of return.

The closing statement all called for lifting the unjust siege imposed on the people of Gaza, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

On Sunday morning, 25 pro-Palestine organizations and institutions based in Turkey joined the First Palestinians of Turkey Conference.

The conference included discussions, workshops, and exhibitions on the history and developments of the situation of Palestinian refugees in Syria, Iraq, and Turkey.

Palestinian national issues were also discussed during the one-day conference. The participants stressed importance of supporting the Palestinian people’s steadfastness at home and in the Diaspora.

They also called for facilitating the movement of Palestinian refugees by granting them temporary passports. The closing statement recommended for the Palestinian Authority to send a delegation to Turkey to check on and support the Palestinian students there.  (T/P008/R07)
