Al Fattah Rescue Collaborates With UK Charitable Organization to Help Palu

Jakarta, MINA – Ukhuwah Al-Fatah Rescue (UAR) is collaborating with the United Kingdom Charitable Organisation, Humanity Without Borders to send aid to victims of natural disasters in Palu, Central Sulawesi.

The Charitable Organisation that aims to support victims of disasters, emergencies and also promote sustainable development represented by three volunteers, Shabeer Sacranie, Naeem Basir and Tayyap Sacranie.

All three volunteers are welcomed cordially by representatives from UAR with the Al-Aqsa Working Group (AWG) and MINA reporters at the arrival terminal of Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Wednesday.

“Our goal here is to be truly sincere to help Palu residents who are experiencing difficulties due to earthquakes, tsunamis, and liquefaction that hit their area,” Shabeer explained.

He said some assistance would be provided such as hundreds of food packages, tents, children’s equipment, and cash assistance for widows and orphans.

Meanwhile, UAR itself from the beginning has been actively sending aid and volunteers to the affected areas in Palu and its surroundings.

Shabeer, who is also the head of a Charitable Organization, explained that this is the first arrival to Indonesia. They get access to Indonesia from one of Malaysia’s humanitarian institutions.

“Our trip to Indonesia is mediated by Malaysian humanitarian agencies until we were introduced to Ukhuwah Al-Fatah Rescue to collaborate to help the victims of the Palu earthquake,” he said.

The plan, they will immediately fly from Jakarta to Palu. For five days, they will channel aid and at the same time make observations about whatever needs the people of Palu.

“In Palu, we plan to share the assistance that we have brought and record the needs that are still needed for us to carry on our next visit,” he said.

The Charitable that has been registered by the UK Government claims to have provided humanitarian assistance to various parts of the world such as in Syria, Rohingya, Palestine, and many more.

Shabeer said, even though the licensing process of humanitarian agencies is so complicated in the UK, they were still struggling to spend the property they had on the right path.

He continued, the donations are collected from various layers of society and the community including their relatives and friends.

“Our mission is to carry out the mandate of the assets that they have left to share with those in need,” he said. (TL/Sj/RS5)
