THOUSANDS MARCH IN FUNERAL PROCESSION OF SLAIN PALESTINIAN YOUTH

Al Quds, 25 Dzulhijjah 1436/9 October 2015 (MINA) – Thousands of Palestinian citizens marched afternoon Thursday in the funeral procession of 20-year-old Wissam Jamal Faraj, shot dead by the Israeli occupation troops in east Jerusalem clashes earlier in the day.

Faraj’s funeral procession started from his family home in the Shu’fat refugee camp, where his parents, relatives, and friends bid him last farewell before he was transferred to the Anata cemetery, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Wissam Faraj, 20, was shot in the heart with an explosive, or “dum dum,” bullet during clashes which broke out during an Israel army raid on the Shu’fat refugee camp in occupied East Jerusalem.

According to a report released by the Red Crescent society, at least 32 Palestinians, including children, were left wounded during the clashes. Seven Palestinians, including a 13-year-old girl, sustained live bullet injuries and 25 others sustained rubber bullet wounds.

Earlier in the day another Palestinian youth was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces.(T/P008/R03)
