Suva, MINA — Fiji is being represented at a ministerial meeting in InĀdonesia which is discussing issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region.
Minister of Defence and National Security, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola has arrived in Bali for the Seventh Ministerial Conference on the Bali Process on People Smuggling, Trafficking in Persons and Related Transnational Crime, Fiji Sun reported Monday.
The ministerial conference would be attended by 45 member counĀtries and three member organiĀsations of the Bali Process and a number of observing countries and organisations.

The Bali Process is a forum comĀprising ministers from the Asia-Pacific region responsible for security to discuss Government initiatives and other efforts made to combat modern slavery, human trafficking and forced labour inĀcluding pertinent transnational crime challenges confronting deĀveloping states.
It is a platform for holding bilatĀeral talks on security co-operation among developed and developing countries.
Australian Foreign Minister JulĀie Bishop and Foreign Minister of Indonesia Retno Marsudi are co-chairs for the high-level meeting. (T/RS5/RS1)
