LCCI Team Leaves for 10-Day Visit to Indonesia

Lahore, MINA – The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) 10-member delegation has left for 10-day visit to Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand to discover new avenues for Pakistani merchandise, The Nation reported.

Before leaving, LCCI President Malik Tahir Javaid said that main objective of the delegation’s visit is to extract huge economic benefits for the country through exploring new opportunities for trade, investment and joint ventures.

He said that to highlight the good perception of the country is also one of the prime priorities of the delegation.

He said that during the visit, LCCI delegation will visit Federation of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry & Trade of Indonesia. Delegation will have meetings with Parts Manufacturers Association, Paper & Pulp Manufacturers Association, Pakistan’s Ambassador in Jakarta, Ministry of Trade, Republic of Indonesia, Honda Trading Company and Perdana Group in Indonesia.

In Malaysia, the LCCI president said, the delegation will have meetings with High Commissioner of Pakistan, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Associated Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Foreign Office, Malaysia-Pakistan Business Council, Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

He said that during the visit of Thailand, delegation will have briefing meeting with Pakistani Embassy in Bangkok, Thai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Thailand-Pakistan Business Council, Federation of Thai Industries and Thai Pakistan Chamber of Commerce.

Malik Tahir Javaid said that Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand can be lucrative destinations for Pakistani products.

He said that these are billions of dollars economy. Joint ventures between the businessmen of Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand can give considerable boost to the Pakistani products and can also provide rare opportunity to Pakistani entrepreneurs to learn from rich experience of these countries.
