ISRAELI OCCUPATION BOMB DAMAGES GAZA IMMIGRATION OFFICE IN RAFAH
Gaza, 1 Dzulqa’dah 1435/27 August 2014 (MINA) – The Zionist Israeli occupation regime forces bombed the Palestine’s Immigration Office in Rafah crossing on Monday local time before the ceasefire agreement was announced, resulting in some parts of the building badly damaged.
Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA)’s correspondent Nur Ikhwan Abadi reported directly from the location Tuesday, Israeli occupation regime forces plane dropped a one-ton bomb right in front of the office. Some parts of the ceiling, glass windows and many doors ruined due to the bomb blast.
Meanwhile, the deputy of Palestinian Parliament Dr Ahmad Bahar condemned the Zionist forces action and said it was immoral and barbaric behavior and violation against all international laws because the target was the public border crossings.
“We ask Egypt to open Rafah crossing soon and permanently in both directions to facilitate the treatment of injured Palestinian patients, receiving medical aid delegation and all essential goods. We stated that Egypt should have responsibility for the condition of the people in the Gaza Strip,” said Bahar.
Other Deputy of the Palestinian Parliament, Ataf Adwan stated that the Israeli occupation regime aggression against Rafah crossing is the act of a coward.
He added that the action can threaten the sovereignty of Egypt and Palestine. He asked the Egyptian government to stand with the Palestinians.
Immigration Office at the Rafah border crossing was recently completed and inaugurated in the early 2014 by the former Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh. (L/K01/R03/P3).
