ISRAEL DENIES DETAINEES’ FAMILIES PERMISSION TO VISIT THEIR SONS

Hebron, 11 Dzulqa’dah 1435/6 September 2014 (MINA) – The Israeli occupation forces confiscated visit permissions from Palestinian detainees’ families while they were heading to visit their sons via Tarqumiyah and Thahriyah crossings in Hebron.

The director of Prisoners club in Hebron Amjad Najjar said in a press statement on Thursday that the Israeli intelligence confiscated around 40 visit permission from detainees’ families who were trying to visits their imprisoned sons in Rimon jail.

“I was supersized when they took the permission from me and my daughter, I was trying to visit my sick son in Ramla prison clinic,” elderly Mohhmed Fraj said, ALRAY, Palestinian Media Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Detainees families reported that the forces stopped them at Thahriyah crossing, after they bought tickets, and confiscated 34 visit permissions.

Najjar said that these actions are a clear violation of detainees’ families rights protected by all international laws and conventions.

He called on the ICRC for preventing such actions that directly affects the families of the detainees mothers and children who were looking eagerly to visit their relatives.(T/R05/P3)
