Suva, MINA — Indonesia is confident of collaborating with members of the Multinational Observer Group to ensure a free, fair and credible 2018 General Election in Fiji.
This follows assurances by the Indonesian Ambassador to Fiji Benyamin Scott Carnadi to the Fiji Sun, Fiji Times reported.
Co-led by Australia, Indonesia and India will be part of the Multinational Observation Group (MOG) for the 2018 General Election.

Mr Carnadi said involving international observers showed that the election was being held credibly, transparently and in a manner that was properly done with democratic values.
“We took part in the observer mission during the last election, and we are confident that the coming election will be a free, fair and a credible one,” he said.
“The Fijian Elections Office now has the experience and we are happy to be invited again for the observers’ mission for this year’s election.” (T/RS5/RS1)
