Indonesia Ensures Two Mutilated Victims in Malaysia are Indonesian Citizens

Kuala Lumpur, MINA – The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur ensured that two mutilated victims in Malaysia are Indonesian citizens.

“The Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur confirmed that the two mutilated bodies were Indonesian citizens,” the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur said in an official statement received by MINA on Tuesday.

The Indonesian Embassy also ensured maximum protection for handling victims’ bodies and following up on legal handling of this case.

Previously, the Malaysian Police found two bodies of Indonesian citizens in Sungai Buloh, Selangor on January 26, 2019.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur will continue to coordinate with the Malaysian Diraja Policy (PDRM) regarding the case that befell the two Indonesian citizens.

The Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur has also communicated with both Indonesian families.

The PDRM has also submitted the victim’s fingerprint data to be matched with fingerprint data on the Indonesian government database. (TR/Sj/R04)
