HUNDREDS ISRAELIS DEMONSTRATE IN FRONT OF BENYAMIN NETANYAHU’S HOUSE

Gaza, 29 Dzulqa’dah 1435/24 September 2014 (MINA) – Hundreds of Israelis who come from cities and residential areas near the border with  Gaza Strip demonstrated in front of Israeli Prime Minister’s house on Sunday night (22 september) local time.

The protesters demanded Israel to open blockade imposed on Gaza Strip immediately and seek solution peacefully.

After the demonstration, Hamas spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri said that lifting the blockade imposed on Gaza Strip was the only way to restore peace of residents around Gaza strip, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) correspondent reported.

The residents should be aware that Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu did not pay attention to the issue. He still wanted to continue the blockade on Gaza, Abu Zuhri added.

Israel has been imposing the blockade for eight years since Hamas won elections in Gaza in 2006. The Suffering of Gazans intensified for the last two years after Egyptians destroyed tunnels and prohibited all trade through the tunnels.

The blockade has tortured life of Gazans. There were three times Israeli aggressions in big scale in the area about ​​365 km square during last five years. The last aggression occurred during the 51day Israeli strikes against Gaza and destroyed all sectors of lifelihood in Gaza.

The aggression caused more than 2000 people died and about 11 thousands people injured. Most of them are children, women and elderly.

Palestine and Israel has reached a ceasefire agreement on 26 august. The agreement led to open blockade in sea, land and air of Gaza. Points of the agreement also asked Israel to build port and airport in Gaza. (L K01/P009/P3)
