Comprehensive Strike Prevails in Jabal Al-Mukaber in Occupied Jerusalem

Jerusalem, MINA – A comprehensive strike prevailed Tuesday in the Jabal Al Mukaber town, to the southeast of occupied Jerusalem, in rejection of the Israeli occupation’s decisions to demolish Palestinian-owned homes and facilities, MINA Contributor in Palestine reported.

According to local sources, the town was closed with tires on the streets to prevent the arrival of the occupation vehicles, and the implementation of any new demolition.

The extremist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, had issued instructions to initiate and accelerate house demolitions in East Jerusalem, under the pretext of not having a permit.

Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by demolition vehicles, stormed Jabal Al Mukaber in occupied Jerusalem to demolish a two-storey house belonging to the Palestinian Ratib Matar and the family of his imprisoned brother Hussam Matar, under the pretext of not having a permit.

The Israeli occupation overlooks Palestinians with unfair decisions, not caring for anyone, demolishing homes and displacing children and women in the open.

The strike included all aspects of life in the town, workers, bakeries, shops, restaurants, and schools with the exception of pharmacies and medical centers. (LKG/RE1)
