
IDF declares the area around Gaza a closed military zone
GAZA, Feb 17 (KUNA) — A bomb blew up on a road near Gaza’s demarcation line on Saturday ripping through an Israeli military patrol and killing at least one soldier, according to the Israeli media.
Hebrew-language Channel 2 television station said the bomb blast that happened east of Khan Youness town wounded two other Israeli troops.
Another Israeli TV station, Channel 4, said the explosion targeted a force of the elite Golani Brigade, wounding three personnel, adding that one of them suffered critical cuts.
The Israeli media reported that the wounded were transported to hospital aboard a helicopter. (T/RS5/RS1)
