Al-Quds, 18 Muharram 1438/19 October 2016 (MINA) – Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed Wednesday morning Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem under heavy Israeli police protection.

The Palestinian Islamic Endowment Department affirmed that 295 Israeli settlers broke into the holy shrine this morning, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

The extremist settlers carried out provocative tours in the compound grounds, the sources added.

Earlier Tuesday, UNESCO adopted a final decision that denied any Jewish connection to the Aqsa Mosque compound and the Western Wall (al-Buraq Wall) and their surrounding areas.(T/P008/R07)
