In his speech, Mayor De Blasio told the gathered crowds that “Tomorrow Donald Trump will have power; but tomorrow, you will have power as well.”

He said the President-elect may control the agenda in the capital Washington, but the people control their own destiny.

De Blasio reminded the attendees that the entire country does not reside in Washington, and Americans should not let anyone define them just by what they are against; but they want to be defined by what they are for, and what they believe in.

Director Michael Moore, who organized for the protest that started at 6:00 pm (New York Time), called for “100 days of protest” against Trump as he starts his presidency on Friday.
