Hebron,  21 Shawwal 1436/6 August 2015 (MINA) – Israeli forces detained 15 Palestinians in overnight arrest raids across the occupied West Bank, Israel’s army and locals said Thursday.

Amjad Abdul-Aziz Abu Eisha, Ali Hassan Julani, and Obada Fakhri Hashlmoun were detained in Hebron, locals said, while Nadim Rasim Ikhlayel and Muhammad Jadallah Sleibi were arrested in Beit Ummar, Maan News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Witnesses said they were taken to an unknown location.

Additionally, localPalestiniansources told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided Nablus and arrested Palestinian police officer Tayseer Ahmad Muhammad abu-Eisha 40, from Beit Wazan village west of Nablus after raiding his home.

The locals added that Israeli troops also arrested Osaid Mohammad Maala, 22 from Beita village on Hawara checkpoint, and Rami Kamal Rawajba, 32, from Asira al-Shamaliya village near Nablus after raiding his home.

An Israeli army spokesperson said 15 Palestinians were detained overnight for “illegal activity,” six in Ramallah, four in Nablus, two in Bethlehem, two in Hebron and one in Jenin.

Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem are routinely arrested by Israeli military forces, usually on the pretext of security questioning. (T/P010/R04)
