Salfit, 26 Shawal 1436/11 August 2015 (MINA) – Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) razed Monday morning  a house in Deir Ballout town near the northern West Bank district of Salfit,  claiming the lack of a building permit.

The house owner, Adnan Abdurrahman Abdullah, told the PIC reporter that around ten jeeps of the Israeli army escorted by two bulldozers raided the area where his house was located.

The IOF declared the area a closed military zone and started demolishing the house which has been built 12 years ago, Abdullah said,  quoted by The Palestinian Information Center (PIC)  and Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

He revealed that he received demolition notices years ago for lack of construction permit, but the family filed a complaint at the complaint office in Occupied Jerusalem and submitted all required documents.

“We were shocked to receive a new notice two months ago. We went again to the office and renewed our file as the Israeli civil administration asked for a copy of it. However, the Israelis razed the house regardless of our official documents”, Abdullah said.

He pointed out that the house’s area is estimated at 300 square meters and included two big rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom.

60 other houses in the same district received demolition notices for the claim of lacking building permits as being located in Area C controlled by Israel.
