Israel Arrested 33 Palestinian Children in September
Gaza, MINA – Israeli occupation forces arrested 253 Palestinians in September, including 33 children and four women, Quds Net reported on Wednesday.
Most of those detained underwent harsh interrogations and were not allowed to meet with lawyers.
According to MEMO, a rights group working with prisoners and freed prisoners said that the Israeli occupation “dragged” the 33 children from their families and put them in prison where they encountered bad medical and living conditions.
In its September statistical report, Anin Al-Qayd said that the Israelis issued 50 administrative detention orders, including 15 for the first time and 35 against prisoners who have been held with neither charge nor trial in the past.
The group also said that Mohamed Nashabbat last month completed 28 years as a prisoner of Israel.
In addition to imprisonment, the Israeli courts imposed fines on Palestinians totalling 768,000 new Israeli shekels (£166,260) in September alone.(R/R04/RS5)
