Iran and Russia Conclude Joint Naval Drills in the Caspian Sea

Tehran, MINA – Iran and Russia concluded their joint naval search and rescue drills in the Caspian Sea with a maritime parade of participating vessels on Wednesday.

According to Tasnim News, the joint naval exercise, CASAREX 2025, ended with a fleet review of surface units participating in the Caspian Sea, passing by the Iranian command ship Separ.

Rear Admiral Mohsen Razaghi, the spokesperson for the exercise, stated that the final parade marked the conclusion of the drills.

Held under the slogan “Together for a Safe and Secure Caspian Sea,” the parade featured naval and aerial units from the Iranian Army Navy, including the missile-launching vessels Separ, Peykan, Joshan, and Derafsh, as well as the Shahid Basir ship belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Also present were the patrol vessel Heydar from the Iranian Maritime Police, the Pak Boom ship from the Ports and Maritime Organization, the Haraz and Anzali tugboats, two AB-212 helicopters, and Russia’s SB738 search and rescue vessel. [Nia]
