Gaza, MINA – A senior Hamas official declared on Tuesday that the Palestinian resistance movement will continue its struggle against the Israeli occupation despite ongoing assassination attempts and threats.
Abdul Rahman Shadid, a senior Hamas leader, stressed that the group remains steadfast in its mission.
“The movement, leadership and fighters will continue with the project of resisting the criminal Israeli occupation until God grants our people liberation and return,” Shadid said in remarks reported by the Quds News Network.
“We will not be deterred by assassinations or threats, whatever their form, and we will not deviate from this path until we achieve our goal.”

His comments came shortly after an Israeli airstrike targeted the Hamas negotiating delegation in Doha, Qatar, prompting sharp condemnations from Arab states. Explosions and smoke were reported in the Qatari capital late Tuesday.
A Hamas source told Al Jazeera that the strike specifically targeted the leadership delegation, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, as they were discussing a US-backed ceasefire proposal. The source confirmed that the delegation survived the assassination attempt.
The Israeli army later acknowledged carrying out a “precise strike” in coordination with the Shin Bet internal security agency, claiming it targeted Hamas leaders involved in the movement’s command structure for years.
The attack triggered strong diplomatic backlash. Qatar’s government condemned the strike as a violation of its sovereignty, while Egypt called it “a flagrant breach of international law and state sovereignty.”

In a statement, the Egyptian presidency warned that such attacks undermine mediation efforts, threaten regional stability, and set a “dangerous precedent.” Egypt expressed full solidarity with Qatar and called on the international community to immediately halt Israeli aggression and hold Tel Aviv accountable for its actions.
