QASSAM TO SWAP INFORMATION ABOUT ISRAELI PRISONERS OF WAR WITH NAMES OF COLLABORATORS
Gaza City, 17 Shawwal 1435/13 August 2014 (MINA) – The Izz Ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said that if Israeli occupation regime wants information about the soldier who has been captured as a prisoner of war it must reveal the names of all collaborators in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, Al-Aqsa TV reported.
The Brigades announced they only captured Oron Shaul during a face-to-face shootout which took place in eastern Gaza city on July 20.
To date, Israeli occupation regime forces has killed 1,960 Palestinians, including 470 children, and injured 9,986 others, Middle East Monitor (MEMO) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Wednesday.
According to Israeli occupation regime sources, 67 Israelis were killed, including 64 soldiers and only three civilians. Palestinian resistance movements puts the number at more than 150 mainly military deaths.
Hamas hails UNHRC plans to investigate Israeli war crimes in Gaza
Hamas yesterday hailed the UN Human Rights Council’s announcement of the formation of an inquiry commission to investigate Israeli war crimes in Gaza.
In a statement, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said his movement welcomed the Council’s decision to form an independent international team to investigate Israeli occupation regime war crimes in Gaza. “We call for a quick start to this commission,” he said.
Israel occupation regime said it would not cooperate with this mission as there is an “anti-Israeli majority in the UNHRC”. (T/E01/IR)
