SEVERAL PALESTINIANS INJURED AS OCCUPATION ARMY ATTACKS SOLIDARITY PROTEST

        Al-Khader , 9 Rabiul Akhir 1434/19 February 2013 (MINA) – Palestinian Medical sources in Bethlehem reported that Israeli soldiers fired gas bombs, rubber-coated metal bullets and concussion grenades at a group of Palestinians who marched at the southern entrance of the Al-Khader town, near Bethlehem.
       Palestinian activist Munher Ameera told IMEMC that the soldiers violently attacked the procession, and sealed the junction that leads to road 60 which links Gush Etzion settlement Bloc, with Jerusalem.
       The activity was organized the Palestinian Prisoner Society and some civil society organizations in the Bethlehem area, according to IMEMC reports monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), Tuesday.
       The attack led to multiple injuries among the Palestinians as many have been treated for the effects of teargas inhalation, while many others have been struck with clubs and batons carried by the army.
       Abu Atwan said that the procession started from Bab AZ-Zqaaq in Bethlehem city, they drove many cars to the An-Nashash area in Al-Khader where they marched on foot carrying Palestinian flags, posters, pictures of hunger striking detainees, and chanted slogans for liberation and independence.

At Least 20 Palestinians Injured

        At least 20 Palestinians were injured Friday afternoon when Israeli security forces used teargas and sound bombs to disperse a rally to show solidarity with Palestinians in Israeli jails who have been on a hunger strike for several months.
       Hundreds of angry Palestinians have gathered in the vicinity of Bituniya crossing near Ofer. Prison to call for the release of the prisoners, particularly prisoner Samer Issawi, who has been on hunger strike for 198 days, in addition to Tareq Qaadan and Jaafar Azzidine, who have refused food for 80 days.
       “We wanted to send a message to our prisoners in Israeli jails that all Palestinian people is standing beside you and will do all in power to end your ordeal,” Politician and Secretary General of the Palestinian National
       Initiative Mustafa Al-Barghouthi told KUNA.  Similar protests were organized across the West Bank after mid-day Friday prayers.   Meanwhile, Israeli Police announced that a Palestinian youth from Gaza Strip, who works as a guard for a workshop in Tel Aviv, was killed after being repeatedly stabbed with knifes by Israelis, whose identity has not been discovered yet.
