SHINWARI: 2015 IS THE YEAR OF INVESTMENT IN AFGHANISTAN

         Kabul, 15 Muharram 1435/19 November 2013 (MINA) – Afghanistan will become member of the World Trade organization in 2015 which will pave the way for more investments in the country.

         Deputy Afghan trade minister, Muzamil Shinwari said Monday that 2015 will be the year of investment since Afghanistan will become member f the World Trade Organization.

        While speaking during a conference on ‘Doing business with Afghanistan’, Mr. Shinwari said there will be a new government and the security transition will be completed by 2015, Khamaa Press reported as quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).Truesday (19/11).

        India’s External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid also said India has an “open arms approach” to Afghanistan, while insisting on close links and trade ties between India and Afghanistan.

        Mr. Khurshid further added that Indian business saw big opportunities in Afghanistan’s stability.

        The Afghan finance minister, Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal who also attended the conference said, Afghanistan will be more stable, unified and prosperous in 2014 and beyond.

         Mr. Zakhilwal said that the Afghan security forces have the capabilities not only to maintain security in the areas which have been transferred to them, but will also improve the security situation. (T/P012/E1)
