57 Palestinians Injured on 10th Friday of Rage

Ramallah, MINA – At least 57 Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces’ live bullets or rubber-coated steel rounds as the forces quelled a number of protests across the occupied West Bank and along the border with Gaza on the tenth Friday of Rage, WAFA reorted, citing the Ministry of Health.

The ministry said 14 Palestinian protesters were injured by rubber-coated steel rounds during clashes in Ramallah area, and were admitted to Palestine Medical Complex in the city for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, nine others who were injured were admitted to Rafidia public hospital in Nablus, seven of them with live fire. Another injured protester was also admitted to Salfit medical hospital, in the central West Bank, with moderate injuries from live bullets.

In Bethlehem, in southern West Bank, a protester was admitted to Beit Jala public hospital after he was brutally assaulted and beaten up by Israeli soldiers.

In the besieged Gaza Strip, the ministry said 27 Palestinians were injured by live bullets and were admitted to local hospitals. One of the 27 was reported to have had a serious injury in his head by an Israeli live shot.

Clashes erupted in many areas of the occupied West Bank and at Gaza border following Friday prayers on the tenth Friday of Rage against US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The clashes were also fueled by the fatal shooting of three Palestinians by Israeli forces last week, including Ahmad Nasr Jarrar who Israel accuses of being behind the drive-by shooting and killing of an Israeli settler last month. (T/RS5/RS1)
