Palestinian Killed in Protest over Israeli Bill Banning Adhan
Gaza, 19 Safar 1438/19 November 2016 (MINA) – A Palestinian young man was killed and three others wounded in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in eastern Gaza Strip, said Palestine’s Ministry of Health on Friday.
The young man, identified as Mohammad Abu Saeed, 26, was killed by the Israeli gunfire on eastern borders of the Strip, Asharf Al-Qudra, spokesman for the ministry, told KUNA in a statement.
Three other young men were injured in the clashes and were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment, he said.
Several demonstrations were organized in the West Bank, the Strip and others earlier today against the Israeli move aiming to ban the call for prayer in occupied Jerusalem city.
The Muslim call to prayer — also known as the adhan — is broadcast five times a day from mosques or Islamic centers. (T/R07/R01)
