Jenin, 5 Jumadal Awwal 1436/24 February  2015 (MINA) –  The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) barred on Monday (23/2) the mother of prisoner Said Tobasi from visiting him.

Local sources in Jenin refugee camp the hometown of Tobasi said he is serving 35 life sentences, adding that the ban fell in line with the increasing IOA ban on family visits to Palestinian prisoners, Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Tobasi’s mother has two other of her sons, Ahmed and Islam, killed at the hands of Israeli occupation forces.

In a similar move, the IOA blocked Mahmoud Abul Haija from Yamon village, west of Jenin, from visiting his son Mohammed in the Negev jail also on Monday. Mahmoud had a visit permit, yet he was turned back at the gate of the prison. (T/P006/P3)
