Israel releases Malik al-Qadi, prisoner vows to continue his hunger strike.

Ramallah, 23 Dzulhijjah 1437/25 September 2016 (MINA) – A Palestinian prisoner was released on Saturday after he had been on a hunger strike for 70 days, an official said on Saturday.

Chairman of the Palestinian Prisoners Club Issa Karaka was quoted by KUNA as telling the press that the Palestinian Red Crescent has received prisoner Malik Al-Qadi, whisking him to a medical facility after he was released.

“We have to work to nullify the law of administrative detention,” Karaka said, adding that the release of Al-Qadi is a victory for prisoners.

A deal reached on Wednesday, through diplomatic intervention by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, facilitated the release of Al-Qadi.
