Peru Offers Friendly Muslim Tourism

Jakarta, MINA – Peru is one of the interesting tourist destinations, especially for festival lovers and culture. Besides offering a variety of fun, Peru also provides friendly travel experience for Muslim tourists.

There are around 3,000 festivals held throughout the year in various areas in Peru. Halal food are also available in several restaurants, especially in Lima, Peru area.

“In Lima, Muslims are friendly,” said the wife of the Peruvian Ambassador to Indonesia Susan Santos de Cardenas when met by reporters at her residence, in Jakarta.

“There are accredited restaurants, halal certified,” Susan added, some Peruvian food have been influenced by Arabian culture. Therefore, Muslim tourists do not need to worry about food or drink while traveling in Peru.

Regarding the need for worship, Susan said Peru also has several mosques that can be used by Muslim tourists to pray. Several mosques that can be found in Lima, including Mezquita An Nur and Asociacion Islámica Del Peru.

Beside Lima as the capital. It also as the entrance of tourists offers many interesting holiday experiences.

Furthermore, in Lima, tourists can visit various museums such as the Jose Cassinelli Museum, Toy Museum, Cathedral buildings, and also with delicious culinary choices, and interesting souvenirs such as clothes made of alpaca wool. (T/Sj/RS5)
