Indonesian FM Concerns on Israeli Acts over Al Aqsa
Jakarta, 27 Jumadil Awal 1437/7 March 2016 (MINA) – Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno L P Marsudi on the opening remarks of the ministerial meeting fifth Extra ordinary OIC Summit 2016 conveyed her concern on the condition of Al Aqsa and urges Israel to immediately end its actions in Al-Aqsa.
“Israeli continues to alter the demographic composition, character and status quo of Al Quds Al Sharif by imposing restriction on access to the Al Aqsa Mosque for the Moslems worshippers, continuing raid, and allowing Israeli settler to enter the holy Mosque compound,” she stated.
Retno also stressed that the result of the conference could be applied with concrete actions. “ I believe that these political message and commitments must be coupled with concrete action,” Retno asserted.
The Summit explores breakthrough approaches and strategy to counter the continuous illegal occupation and apartheid policies by the Israeli government, as well as to advance the peace process and to resolve the situation in Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
