Ramallah, MINA – Palestinian Authority says Israel Increases efforts to change the status quo of Jerusalem, including holy sites.

The efforts were led by Israeli right-wing parties under the leadership of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Palestine revealed that under Netanyahu government, Israel implemented Jewish project in Jerusalem. The aim of the project is not only to change demographic composition but also the status quo of the holy city.

Palestinians also see that Israel is trying to ignite divisions in Al-Aqsa Mosque complex. They believe that it is Israel’s strategy before fully controlling the complex.

Last month, Israel inaugurated the tunnel that was named “Pilgrimage Path”. The tunnel stretches between Wadi Hilweh Silwan neighborhood to Western Wall, just outside Al-Aqsa Mosque complex.

Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) also condemned the tunnel project. They consider Israel to try to change the historical and demographic status of Jerusalem.
