Najib adn Sheikh Tamim

Putrajaya, Malaysia, MINA – Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and Malasyain Prime Minister Najib Razak on Monday oversaw the inking of four memoranda of understanding (MoU) between the two countries, KUNA reported.

The MoUs were inked during the Qatari Amir current two-day visit to the nation which started on Sunday.

They stipulated cooperation for training diplomats, coordination in the sector of higher education, the legal and judicial fields.

Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman and her Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammad Abdulrahman Al-Thani, signed two MoUs on training the diplomats and cooperating at the level of higher education.

The MoU for judicial cooperation was inked by the head of the Malaysian Federal Court and Head of the Qatari Supreme Judicial Council Masoud Al-Amiri.

Sheikh Tamim earlier today held a closed-soor meeting with the Malaysian premier, followed with a broad meeting that grouped officials from the two sides.

It is Sheikh Tamim’s first visit to Malaysia since taking the helm of power on June 25, 2013.

He is scheduled to proceed to Singapore and Indonesia for talks on ways of boosting ties and mutual cooperation at various levels with these Asian nations. (T/RS5/RS1)
