Al-Quds, 18 Dzulhijjah 1437/20 September 2016 (MINA) – Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Movement in occupied Jerusalem Shadi Mattour was prevented Monday from having access to al-Aqsa Mosque for six months under “security pretexts.”

Israeli police handed him a notification denying his access to the holy Islamic shrine for the next six months, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

Such a measure came as part of the Israeli attempt to take control over the Mosque, Mattour said, calling for intensifying the Palestinian presence in the compound.
“We will not leave our holy shrine for Israeli schemes that aim at dividing it and erasing its Islamic identity”, he emphasized.

He concluded by calling on the Arab and Islamic world to stand firmly against Israeli Judaization policy.(T/P008/R07)
